Interview Style Presentation for BPW Fremantle with Kath Mazzella

Having never been to a BPW meeting prior, it was quite eye opening to visit the Fremantle branch of BPW in support of Kath Mazzella so that we could present her story in interview style.

For those who don’t know, Kath is a Gynae Cancer survivor and advocate for women’s health with a growing momentum of support from around the globe for her cause.

It was quite fortuituous that the State President and National President were both in attendance and we got a snapshot of how BPW are representing women on both national and international committees where the profile of women is concerned. I was quite impressed with their goals and objectives and also with the joy I saw amongst the women in the group.

So here are some pics from the night for you to enjoy.

Resilience – Four Women, Four Inspirational Stories and Strategies for Resilience

RESILIENCE SUMMIT – Journeying from Survivor to Thriver 25 October 2011 6:30-9:00pm

Life throws us curve balls and tragedies and it is up to us how we are going to respond to these. This workshop is all about sharing stories so that we know that there is life after tragedy and some strategies for navigating the maze of life which is sometimes quite challenging.

Four courageous women share their inspirational stories and formula for resiliency and transition.

This seminar is perfect for:
1. People who have been a victim of crime and want to know what steps they can take to get justice.
2. People who are going through circumstantial depression (post natal and non-clinical depression) or financial stress and want to hear strategies that have worked to turn the situation around.
3. People who are living with life altering surgery and want to know how to turn their pain into gain and become an advocate.
4. People who have lost a child and want to find a more positive “new normal”.
5. People who work with people going through any of these situations.

The seminar will also give medical and social welfare practitioners insight into what clients may feel like if they are going through these kinds of situations.

The workshop will include a light meal and a time for Q&A or Small Group Discussions.

Supporting Gynae Awareness in Perth

I had the privilege of being invited as a guest at the International Gynae Awareness Day event in Perth, Western Australia. I have been a long time sponsor of the day, giving my time to work with Kath Mazzella to help her forward the cause and you may have seen the videos I did in helping to promote the message further.

It was a roaring success, so I thought I’d share just a couple of quick pics from the day…
